Daniel Thursz Social Justice Lecture Election Tuesday: Voter Registration Training
April 11, 2024Voting is a cornerstone of our democracy, and Maryland primaries are around the corner. The University of Maryland School of Social Work's Center for Restorative Change and the Daniel Thursz Social Justice Lecture series are hosting a transformative "Training of Trainers" session focused on voter registration.
This in-person workshop is designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to help others in our community register to vote, ensuring everyone's voice can be heard in upcoming elections. Whether you're passionate about social justice, interested in the political process, or looking to make a meaningful impact, this training is for you. This is also a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow students, faculty, and community members who share your commitment to civic engagement.

- There will be an in-person (School of Social Work Room 2W11) and virtual option.
- Light refreshments will be served for in-person attendees.

- Describe the steps to effectively assist others in registering to vote.
- List three key steps in the voting process that will contribute to a more informed and active citizenry.
- Demonstrate valuable communication and organizational skills that will benefit them in both their personal and professional lives.
