Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with yellow background

All University of Maryland, Baltimore faculty, staff, and students are invited to join the University of Maryland School of Medicine for the following events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15.

Sept. 18: Pre-Party: Let’s Salsa Together — Dance & Taste: Kick things off with salsa dancing and delicious salsa tastings at 4:30 p.m. in the Health Sciences Research Facility III Atrium, followed by more optional salsa dancing at Sunset Salsa at Port Covington starting at 7 p.m.

Oct. 8: Ritmo y Raices Hispanic Heritage Celebration and Cultural Showcase: All UMB faculty, staff and students, and the Baltimore community are invited to the Hippodrome Theatre at 6 p.m. Oct. 8 for an unforgettable evening celebrating the vibrant and diverse Hispanic and Latino cultures of Baltimore and Maryland. Immerse yourself in the rich traditions, lively rhythms, and artistic heritage that make this community so special. Don't miss this chance to connect, celebrate, and stand in solidarity with the Hispanic community.

Oct. 15: Virtual Session: Impact of Hispanic and Latino Culture on American Society: All UMB faculty, staff, and students can virtually explore the profound impact of Hispanic culture on American society in this engaging virtual session at noon Oct. 15. Discover the stories, people, and contributions that have shaped our nation.
