The University of Maryland School of Medicine's Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health (CVD) is exploring innovative ways to prevent malaria — an illness caused by a parasite transmitted by mosquitoes. This study is a first-in-human Phase 1 trial of an investigational mRNA-based malaria vaccine. We are looking for 20 healthy adult participants ages 18 to 55 to be enrolled at CVD Baltimore. Intramuscular injections will be administered three times over six months. Total participation time will last approximately 20 months. Compensation available for qualified volunteers.

We hope to advance development of this new investigational malaria vaccine. If you are interested in participating in the research study, please call 410-706-8800.
