We are a group of UMB faculty and staff who teach online or who want to learn how to do so. We created this informal online community to support one another in our online teaching and to share best practices, tips, and tools. We meet monthly using Zoom to discuss topics such as how to increase student engagement in the online classroom, how to effectively use the discussion board, best tech tools to support your teaching, and so much more. Each meeting, we have a time of open, informal discussion, followed by a speaker who presents on a practical topic related to online teaching.
