In the fall 2024 semester, a pilot program called "Inspi'RN'ing Pediatric Mentorship" is starting at UMSON.

Faculty are looking for third-semester BSN students registered for the N471 pediatric course in the fall semester and interested in pursuing a career in pediatric nursing.

During this semester-long program, these students will be paired with pediatric or neonatal DNP students at UMSON. They will receive orientation, extra shadow time in a pediatric clinical setting, regular meetings with mentors throughout the semester, and regular check-in meetings with experienced pediatric faculty and nurse practitioners. 

Applications are due Aug. 30.

Orientation for the program will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, 9 - 11 a.m.
