2024 Presidential Election on U.S. flag

To support you after the election, Human Resource Services (HRS) continues to offer a drop-in individual counseling session, given the significant impact elections can have on our lives and communities. The drop-in counseling session being offered allows you to speak with a trained professional in a safe and confidential environment. This session is a great opportunity to discuss your feelings and concerns or to simply to talk things through.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) wants to encourage everyone who works here to prioritize your mental well-being during this time. It’s important to take breaks from the news and social media, engage in activities that bring you joy, and talk about your feelings with trusted friends or family.

Our last drop-in session will be held at HRS offices on the third floor of the Lexington Building at 620 W. Lexington St.:

  • Session 3: Monday, Nov. 11, Noon to 3 p.m., Room 03-110

HRS encourages all employees to take advantage of this service. And if you or a member of your household needs additional support, please reach out to our Employee Assistance Program, which provides confidential counseling, expert guidance, and valuable resources. It offers 24/7 live assistance by calling 855-410-7628.

Please reach out to HRWell@umaryland.edu with any questions.
