Pharmapreneur’s Market Competition Open to All Students
August 27, 2024University of Maryland School of Pharmacy (UMSOP) students (PharmD, PhD, and MS) or interprofessional/interdisciplinary teams from various institutions (University of Maryland, Baltimore; University of Maryland, College Park; University of Maryland, Baltimore County; John Hopkins University; and others) that include as part of the team a UMSOP student are invited to submit their ideas for the 2024 Pharmapreneur’s Market Competition, which will take place on Oct. 8 at the School of Pharmacy’s Inaugural Pharmapreneurship Summit.
At the competition, pharmacy student pioneers and innovators who present early-stage well-thought projects and ideas could be selected by a panel of judges to receive the Natalie D. Eddington Pharmapreneurship Award for Health Care Innovation — up to $100,000 in start-up funds over a one-year period to support pharmacy students and their innovative, transformative early-stage pharmapreneurial ideas that have the potential to change pharmacy practice and health care.
Submissions for the 2024 competition are due by Sept. 13 at noon. Submissions will be narrowed by a selection committee of staff, faculty, and community members to a field of three to four finalists, who will pitch their ideas to a team of judges Oct. 8. Final selection for the teams to present will be announced Sept. 27. More information here.
