Nov. 7: ‘The Financialization of Health Care — What Can Be Done?’
October 28, 2024The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law's Law & Health Care Program invites you to attend the 2024 Stuart Rome Lecture, which was established at the law school in January 1984 to honor the memory of Stuart Rome, a prominent health law attorney, community activist, and art patron in the Baltimore area. We are especially grateful for the longstanding support of Paula Rome, who recently passed away, and for her commitment to honoring her late husband’s legacy through the generous sustainment of this annual lecture for over 40 years.
We will be welcoming Erin C. Fuse Brown, JD, MPH, professor of health services, Policy & Practice, at Brown University School of Public Health's Center for Advancing Health Policy through Research (CAHPR). Brown's lecture will be titled “The Financialization of Health Care — What Can Be Done?"
Please join us at 5 p.m. Nov. 7 in the law school's Ceremonial Courtroom, with a reception to follow.
If you prefer to attend virtually, you can register for the event using the same link. A Zoom link will be sent to you in a separate email 48 hours before the event begins.
The Law & Health Care will also be celebrating 40 years of excellence in health law at this year’s Rome Lecture. We look forward to your participation!
