The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Council works collaboratively to plan, coordinate, and move DEI identified tasks and priorities forward in alignment with the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), School of Social Work (SSW), and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) strategic plans. We work in collaboration with ODEI to recommend and support policies, actions, programs, and pedagogy that promote social justice, and DEI values, principles, and practices within the SSW, UMB, and the Baltimore community.

This event will examine how election results impact social work students, social workers, and client systems. We will explore how we can advocate in meaningful ways to inspire change at the local, state and national levels.
