Nov. 19: Virtual Screening of ‘Everybody’s Work’ Documentary
October 25, 2024Join the UMSON Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for a special virtual viewing of the documentary "Everybody’s Work: Healing What Hurts Us." The screening will be followed by a discussion, allowing us to come together to talk about creating and sustaining change through action. We hope that attendees will be encouraged, inspired, and motivated to fight for health equity.
Given the significant role nurses play in our health and health care systems, SHIFT Films seeks to bring greater attention to and examine their personal experiences with racism and their broader impact on health outcomes. The film serves as a call to action for health care organizations and leaders across the nation, who hold the power to address these systemic issues for nurses and patients alike. Directed by Chad Tingle, the documentary features nurses who are disrupting structural racism and driving change in their institutions, in their communities, and on the front lines.
