The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning is pleased to launch the AI Studio at UMB, a new faculty-led initiative supported by the Leaders in Education: Academy of Presidential Scholars. This nine-month fellowship program invites UMB faculty to explore the ethical, pedagogical, and research-informed use of generative AI in graduate and professional education.

We are currently accepting applications for the inaugural 2025-2026 cohort. Selected Faculty Fellows will receive $2,500 in professional development funds to lead a small-scale AI pilot research project. Faculty Learning Partners will contribute cross-disciplinary insights and receive a $250 honorarium.

Fellows will participate in monthly meetings, receive mentorship in research design and Institutional Review Board navigation, and contribute a case study or scholarly product to share with the broader UMB community.

Application Deadline: Aug. 1, 2025

Fellowship Period: September 2025-May 2026

Eligibility: Faculty from all UMB schools and teaching contexts are welcome to apply.
