As part of UMB's celebration of Earth Month, we are excited to co-host a Meet the Founder event featuring Kevin Tu, a first-year medical student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Kevin is the founder of Sustainabli, a startup promoting energy efficiency in laboratory and health care settings. As an undergraduate at the University of Maryland, College Park, Kevin founded the Green Labs program, where he developed the technology that would later become Sustainabli.

The company's technology has been deployed across North America, reducing energy waste costs by $250,000 and cutting greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to driving around the world 70 times. Outside of medicine and Sustainabli, Kevin serves as a committee chair at the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories and helps lead the Million Advocates for Sustainable Science.

This event is in-person at The Grid (HSHSL, 3rd Floor). Lunch will be provided.
