Aug. 13: ‘Health Literacy and Credible Messengers’ ASTARISQ Roundtable Series Event
July 28, 2025The PATIENTS Program is hosting the final event in the five-week, virtual ASTARISQ (Addressing systemic and STructurAl Racism to Improve Safety, Quality, and trustworthiness in health delivery systems) Roundtable Series, titled “Health Literacy and Credible Messengers,” on Wednesday, August 13, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET.
Health literacy emphasizes people’s ability to use health information, rather than only understand it. Organizations have a responsibility to enable individuals to find, understand, and use information and services to inform health-related decisions.
Our speakers will share how they navigate the challenges for advancing health literacy and discuss resources to make health delivery systems and the communities they serve more health literate.
