BGE Construction to Impact Pearl Street Traffic Through August
July 23, 2025A Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) project will disrupt vehicular traffic starting Tuesday, July 29. BGE will be upgrading gas service in the 200 block of Pearl Street between Lexington and Saratoga streets. The work is expected to take approximately four weeks, occurring through August.
During this time, northbound traffic will be slowed and intermittently stopped while work is executed. Occupants in nearby buildings may experience low-level noise impacts from excavation work. Please note that these are the expected dates of the impacts, but the exact dates might shift or be extended depending on weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Service outages to individual affected buildings for service switch-over will be handled by BGE’s normal outage process. Service switch-over for any affected UMB buildings will be managed through UMB’s internal outage notification process.
