The Bun Shop and Bijou by Buttonwood logos

This summer, two new delicious dining options will open in the BioPark. The Bun Shop will be located in 4MLK and Bijou by Buttonwood will be located in the 801 W. Baltimore St. building. Keep an eye on The Elm Weekly for an opening date.

The Bun Shop

4MLK Civic Lounge | First Floor

The Bun Shop offers a collection of culturally iconic or inspired buns from around the world: anything hand-held, ranging from Paraguayan Empanadas to English Pasties, Indian Chicken Tikka Roll to Asian Pork Buns, Chickpea Curry Puffs to Cheese and Onion Flutes. The offerings typically consist of three to four meat options, three to four vegetarian options, and three to four sweet options, with a mix of staple buns and rotating buns in each category. In addition to buns, The Bun Shop offers an expansive selection of coffee, espresso, and loose leaf tea from around the world.

Bijou by Buttonwood

801 W. Baltimore St. | First Floor

Launched last year, The Buttonwood is the sister shop to The Bun Shop. It is a reflection of the owner’s time abroad, a collection of all his favorite meals from around the world and flavors that he thinks worth exploring. It’s a love letter to his stomach. Bijou is an offshoot of that, offering a streamlined version of The Buttonwood’s menu with an emphasis on sandwiches, set salads along with a build-your-own salad option, and a few other favorites sprinkled in between. Bijou will also offer the same coffee, espresso, and tea service as The Bun Shop.
