Abstract submissions are now open for the 2025 DNPs of Color Conference, Oct. 15-19, in Oakland, California. This year’s theme highlights the power of R&R: Rest and Resistance — centering the well-being of our community while advancing systemic change.

We welcome abstracts for two presentation formats:

  • Mini Podium Presentation (20 minutes: 15-minute presentation + 5-minute Q&A)
  • Poster Presentation (e-Poster with an 8-minute Quick Pitch)

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts (max 250 words) should be scholarly, well-organized, and captivating.
  • Include a brief abstract title and 2-3 learning objectives using action verbs 
  • Clearly define background, methods, and findings related to the conference theme or impact areas.
  • Abstracts should highlight original research, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, or programmatic innovations and provide recommendations for others pursuing similar work.
  • Include a minimum of two high-level references (APA 7th edition, within the last 5 years).

Important Submission Information

  • Maximum presenters: 2 for mini podium, 1 for poster presentations
  • Incomplete abstracts will not be reviewed
  • Submission deadline: April 11
