Kelly Grover

President

Kelly Grover is a fourth-year student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at the University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON), specializing in psychiatric-mental health. She earned a BS in nursing and resource economics, with a focus in business management, from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is an emergency room and acute care psychiatric nurse, as well as a graduate research assistant at UMSON. Prior to being elected as USGA president, she was the organization's secretary the previous year.

Vice President

Ngum Wirnkor Ambe Loretta is a second-year nursing student at UMSON. Loretta studied at the Community College of Baltimore County. Currently she works at University of Maryland St. Joseph as a nursing student in the Med-Surg/Oncology Unit and serves as the president for Bethel Campus Student Fellowship at UMB.

Secretary

Audrey Rudy is in her third and final year in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitative Science at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM).

Treasurer

Glenys Jarrett-Coker is a first-year MSN-E student and Conway Scholar at UMSON. She earned her Bachelor of Science in social work and speech communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Currently, Jarrett-Coker also volunteers as an emergency medical technician with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.

Programming Chair

Princess Afe hails from Prince George's County. She is a third-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at UMSON. Afe studied at Prince George's Community College and Howard University. She is in the Army, works as a CNA in a senior nursing facility, and is a home health aide to the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.

Advocacy Director

Rochelle Lauzon is in her third and final year in UMSOM's Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitative Science. She earned a BS in biology from Towson University. She volunteers with the Vestibular Disorders Association as an ambassador. 

Communications Officer

Jessica Cornell is a second-year PhD student in molecular medicine, an academic program in the University of Maryland School of Graduate Studies. She earned an MS in cellular and molecular biomedical science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her Bachelor of Science degree is in biotechnology from James Madison University in Virginia. Currently, Cornell's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of metastatic breast cancer to better treat the disease.

Community and Belonging Officer

Sophie Olabamipe Ogunsanmi is a second-year student working toward her PhD in UMSOM's Program in Neuroscience. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychological science from Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J. Her current research focuses on utilizing neuroimaging techniques to understand brain recovery post-novel treatments, in a treatment-seeking population with opioid use disorder.
