November 04, 2025
The Center for Advanced Research Training and Innovation (CARTI) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking applications for the 2026 Clinical/Translational Research Training Track.
This program provides training to UMB faculty and senior postdoctoral fellows (who are within six to 12 months of a faculty role) who are seeking foundational training in developing and executing a mentored clinical/translational and/or public health research project, including effectively communicating research to get published and funded. CARTI scholars are expected to submit a grant application within six months of participation in the training track.
This four-month training program will include didactic instruction on topics related to project design and implementation and scientific communication (with a focus on grant writing), as well as experiential learning. Upon completion of the didactic and experiential learning, scholars will have a complete research proposal that will undergo review by a mock study section. CARTI scholars are required to complete each element of the training schedule, including completion of an individual development plan (IDP) and submission of a grant application within six months of participation.
Applications are due Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. ET.
