Early-Stage Faculty Members Seeking Grant Funding
April 25, 2025Are you an early-stage basic science research faculty member looking for structured training to prepare a grant application? This program is for you.
The Center for Advanced Research Training & Innovation (CARTI) seeks applications for the 2025 Basic Science Research Training Track. This four-month program provides intensive training to UMB faculty and senior fellows within six months of starting a faculty position on skills critical for launching an independent research career and securing research funding. Training will include didactic instruction, experiential learning/writing accountability groups, a capstone grant application, and mock study section. CARTI scholars are required to complete each element of the training schedule, including completion of an individual development plan and submission of a grant application within six months of participation.
