The Student Counseling Center and URecFit and Wellness will host a professional panel discussion Monday, Nov. 17, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the SMC Campus Center, Elm Room 208 A. The event is sponsored by Monte Nido, a resource for specialized levels of care for eating disorders. Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend.

Please join Jenna Silverman, PhD, executive director of the UMB Counseling Center, as she moderates a discussion with a panel of Maryland-based registered dietitians who specialize in intuitive eating, eating disorder recovery, and nutrition counseling.

College life can make it easy to lose touch with your body’s signals, and busy schedules, stress, and social pressures often shape how and when we eat. Intuitive eating offers a compassionate, evidence-based approach to rebuilding trust with your body, approaching food with curiosity, and making choices that honor your physical and emotional needs.

Whether you’ve ever wondered “How do I know when I’m really hungry?” or “Can I eat what I love and still feel good?” this conversation is for you. Register here.

Light refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the panel discussion will take place 5:30-6:30 p.m. The panelists will be available after the discussion for questions.

Students, faculty, and staff, let your voice be heard!
