Extended Deadline and Expanded Eligibility Criteria for CARTI Research Training Track

The Center for Advanced Research Training and Innovation (CARTI) has extended the deadline and expanded the eligibility criteria for applications for the 2025 Basic Science Research Training Track. This four-month program provides intensive training to UMB faculty and senior fellows within six months of starting a faculty position on skills critical for launching an independent research career and securing research funding. Training will include didactic instruction, experiential learning/writing accountability groups, a capstone grant application, and mock study section. CARTI scholars are required to complete each element of the training schedule, including completion of an individual development plan and submission of a grant application within six months of participation. Applications are due by Monday, July 21, 2025 (5 p.m. EST).
