Henriette Taylor

The University of Maryland School of Social Work is pleased to announce that Henriette Taylor, LMSW, has been appointed director of the MSW Program at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), effective Jan. 12, 2026. In her current role as assistant dean for student services, Taylor has led the Office for Student Services, advocated for students, and provided individualized support to those navigating academic and social-emotional challenges, including connecting students to counseling and other critical resources. She has also managed major student events, overseen orientation, and collaborated with assistant deans across the UMB Graduate Campus to ensure seamless, student-centered services.

Previously, Taylor played a central role in the school’s Promise Heights initiative. As director of partnerships, she built and sustained strategic relationships with community agencies to expand essential services for children and families. As director of community schools, she oversaw the MSW intern program, supported the implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports, and contributed to the research, evaluation, and governance of community school strategies.

Taylor’s career reflects a deep commitment to student well-being, community partnerships, and educational equity. Please join us in congratulating her on this new leadership role at USG and in celebrating her continued service to UMB and the communities it serves.
