Healthy Participants Needed for Eye Imaging Study (UMB IRB reference number HP-00110432)

Why Join?

  • Help advance our understanding of how the cornea changes in the eyes of individuals with and without glaucoma.

Who Can Participate?

  • Adults 40 or older
  • Refractive error between +3 and -5 diopters
  • Vision in both eyes
  • No prior ocular diseases, including glaucoma, retinal disease, uveitis, or corneal abnormalities
  • No prior history of ocular surgeries
  • No previous diagnosis of diabetes mellitus or low blood pressure
  • No prior history of multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, or schizophrenia
  • No prior history of severe pulmonary disease or bradycardia
  • No prior history of prolonged steroid use

What’s Involved?

  • In-person imaging session lasting approximately one to two hours.
  • The session takes place at 419 W. Redwood St., Suite 420, Baltimore 21201.

Compensation and Support

  • $40 gift card for your time
  • Parking voucher available

Your involvement is entirely voluntary, and there are no direct clinical benefits — though your participation could benefit the future of glaucoma diagnostics.
