Dear Baltimore UMSON Community,

As we prepare for the start of the new semester, UMSON Facilities and Operations would like to remind students, faculty, and staff of key building policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone:

One Card Access:

All individuals are required to badge into the building using their own UMB One Card ID. Students and visitors are not allowed access to the building prior to security starting their shift at 7:30 a.m.

No Tailgating:

For security reasons, please refrain from holding doors open for others. Each person must badge in, independently.

Visitor Check-In:

Visitors to the School of Nursing must sign in at the front desk using Lobby Guard and present a government-issued ID. Visitors who fail to comply will not be admitted.

Classroom and Meeting Space Furniture

Chairs and furniture located in classrooms and conference rooms should not be removed or relocated. Room furniture is specifically intended for each space and ensures the proper seat count is available. Should you have a need for furniture, please enter a facilities help desk ticket (see request link below) to make your request.

Emergency Equipment:

Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and first aid kits are available on every floor near each main elevator in the new (south) nursing building.

Emergency Procedures:

Please review the fire and emergency procedures to familiarize yourself with safety protocols.
