The Leaders in Education: Academy of Presidential Scholars (LEAPS) initiative is excited to announce our revamped LEAPS Scholar Awards for 2026. The updated nomination categories are:
- LEAPS Innovation Award
- LEAPS Rising Scholar Award
- LEAPS Equity Scholar Award
- LEAPS Outstanding Scholarship/Publication Award
Designed to recognize exceptional educational scholarship activities of UMB faculty members, preceptors, and mentors, the awardees will be announced and celebrated at the LEAPS Fourth Annual Symposium on March 26, 2026.
Nominations will be open from Nov. 8, 2025-Feb. 1, 2026.
Any faculty member (at any level) at UMB may nominate another faculty member for these awards. Self-nominations are accepted. Criteria and submission information may be found on the LEAPS website at Awards and Recognition — LEAPS.
