Mary Maldarelli

Westminster Preservation Trust, Inc. proudly presents Lunch Under the Pipes (LUP), a free midday concert series featuring the beautifully restored 1882 Johnson Pipe Organ at Westminster Hall. Open to UMB faculty, staff, students, and the surrounding community, the concerts offer a unique musical break — guests are welcome to bring their lunch; seating is provided.

Join us Thursday, May 8, 2025, at noon for a performance by Mary Maldarelli, MD, MMSM, Westminster Hall’s primary organist. Her recital will highlight works by J.S. Bach, Louis-Claude Daquin, Fanny Mendelssohn, César Franck, and Jehan Alain, offering listeners a rich introduction to classical pipe organ repertoire.

Dr. Maldarelli earned her Master of Music in Sacred Music from Catholic University and studied organ with renowned instructors, including Dr. John Walker and Dr. Jeremy Filsell. A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, she is currently a clinical fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

In addition to her academic and medical achievements, Maldarelli has performed for televised and radio broadcasts and delights audiences with her Halloween concerts honoring Edgar Allan Poe.
