Proud to Work Here, Proud to Give Here is a Universitywide fundraising effort exclusively for University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) faculty and staff. They are invited to show their pride with a gift to the school, scholarship, program, cause, or initiative that matters most to them. Below are some of the most asked questions about the campaign.

Why are employees being asked to give to UMB?

Faculty and staff are being asked to support UMB through this annual campaign because your collective support has the potential to make a big impact on the future of our university. Support from our UMB community also demonstrates an internal commitment that can send a powerful message to our external supporters.

What is this year’s campaign goal?

Proud to Work Here, Proud to Give Here is a participation-based campaign. This means your donation — no matter the size — makes a difference for UMB. This year’s campaign goal is set at 9 percent participation.

I would like to make a gift but can’t commit to a large amount at this time.

The gift amount received most by UMB employee donors is $25 or less. Proud to Work Here, Proud to Give Here offers a variety of gift options to match your philanthropy goals and personal finances. Options such as one-time giving, recurring credit card giving, and payroll deduction are available to all UMB employees.

How can I make my gift?

Select one of the following options:

1. Make a one-time or recurring credit card gift or digital wallet gift (PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay) via our secure giving site.

2. Set up a payroll deduction gift via our payroll deduction portal.

What is the deadline for my gift to participate in the Proud to Work Here, Proud to Give Here campaign?

Faculty and staff may participate by making one or more gifts each fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). Gifts must be made by June 30, 2025, to be included in the Fiscal Year 2025 Proud to Work Here, Proud to Give Here campaign total.
