ROAR Center’s Brief Advice Walk-In Clinics for Crime Victims
September 17, 2025Victims of crime that happened in Baltimore City can get free legal assistance, a case manager (someone to help with housing, work, school, child care, etc.), a therapist, and a nurse care manager to help get health care you need from the Rebuild, Overcome, and Rise (ROAR) Center, a recognized center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
ROAR hosts twice-monthly walk-in clinics to provide information and guidance for legal issues, case management needs, and nurse care management. Anyone seeking help from ROAR can walk in (no appointment necessary — first come, first served) and meet with an attorney/paralegal, a case manager, and/or a nurse care manager in person.
There will also be someone there to talk about mental health if you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, or depressed. We’ll share proven self-care methods for survivors of crime.
Clinics are held at The Rise Early Learning and Family Support Center at 940 Madison Ave., West Baltimore, on the first and third Tuesdays of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
If your needs are more complex than what’s provided at the Walk-In Clinic, a staff member will help determine if ROAR can provide extended services or refer you to an appropriate agency. Interpreter services are available for ROAR services upon request.
