2025 Annual Clery Security and Fire Safety Report

The University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) 2025 Annual Clery Security and Fire Safety Report includes valuable insight into crime that occurred on and adjacent to UMB during the last year, as well as fire occurrences.

Thomas Leone, MSL, assistant vice president for public safety and chief of police, says, “This year’s report shows that crime remains low at UMB. Our award-winning Police and Public Safety department works with social workers to provide resources that support vulnerable populations and build positive relationships with our community. This philosophy of community policing, our commitment to UMB’s core values, and our data-driven policing strategies help maintain UMB’s status as one of the safest areas to live, work, learn, and visit in downtown Baltimore.

UMB encourages you to take the time to read the report, which includes specific campus crime and arrest statistics for the last three years. It also contains University policies and practices intended to promote crime awareness, campus safety, and security, such as what to do in an emergency.

Your safety is our No. 1 priority.
