Led by Yolanda Ogbolu, PhD '11, MS '05, BSN '04, NNP, FNAP, FAAN, the Bill and Joanne Conway Dean of the University of Maryland School of Nursing, and Virginia Rowthorn, JD, LLM, assistant vice president for global engagement at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, the Global Learning for Health Equity Network was launched in August 2020 with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and created a framework for adapting and applying global innovations to local health challenges. The grant expanded knowledge related to global learning and supported seven grantees at different stages in their global learning journey.

This convening will tackle the questions: What have we learned over the last five years? And how should we continue to advance the science of adapting global ideas for local impact?

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking conversations on the future of global learning for health equity. Participants will also hear from experts in the field, including keynote speaker Katie Bollbach, executive director at Partners in Health-United States, as well as representatives from RWJF, Johns Hopkins University, the MacArthur Foundation, and other leading organizations in global health and health equity.
