Cherokee Layson-Wolf, PharmD, BCACP, FAPhA, professor of practice, sciences, and health outcomes research at UMSOP, has been honored with the 2025 University System of Maryland Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Mentoring.

The Faculty Award for Excellence in Mentoring recognizes exceptional performance and significant contributions to student development. In a variety of roles throughout her two-decade career at the School of Pharmacy, Layson-Wolf has helped hundreds of students overcome academic challenges, manage stress, and balance work-life demands, ensuring that they are well-prepared to navigate the evolving pharmacy landscape.
