The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy has launched a new Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence for Drug Development (MS in AIDD) program, aimed at providing students with a deep understanding of how AI can be applied in the pharmaceutical industry. The program, enrolling students for fall 2025, will focus on AI-enabled predictive analytics, preparing students to harness AI’s potential to transform healthcare and drug development.

Throughout the program, students will gain practical, hands-on experience with AI tools, programming, and methodologies. The coursework will include exercises in natural language processing, data analytics, and machine learning, all centered around predictive analytics, which is critical to the future of drug development.
