September 08, 2025Solve Student Mental Health Challenges + Launch a Venture
UMB is now home to a chapter of the prestigious xFoundry Alliance at University of Maryland, College Park: Pharmapreneursip – xFoundry @ UMB.
Students are now eligible to participate in the prestigious Xperience Competition, a multi-stage program designed to empower students to develop scalable solutions to global challenges. Through the competition, students connect with seasoned mentors and industry leaders and compete for funding investments totaling up to $2 million.
The Challenge?
This year’s challenge is Mental Health Monitoring — an urgent issue affecting 77 percent of college students, most of whom don’t engage with existing resources.
Identify a gap in the current mental health landscape for college-age individuals (undergraduate and graduate) and develop a solution that effectively addresses it.
Your idea can be an app, a product, a service, a social initiative, or a creative solution — anything scalable and measurable. Work with a team to develop your solution and compete for the chance to launch a company with $250,000–$2 million in investment.
