CIPP650 is an interprofessional course including environmental and health sciences, practice, policy, and law taught by faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Social Work, and Law and the Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences (MEES) Program. It examines the causes and impacts of climate change, emphasizing human health and society, the scientific basis for climate change, and health equity and governmental policies in Maryland and the world. The course addresses health impacts of extreme heat, infectious disease, air pollution, sea level rise, and economic disparities. Case studies are highlighted, and students work in teams to develop innovative solutions to climate change-driven environmental challenges.

UMB students should register for CRN 23172 (in person) or CRN23394 (online).
