We are committed to building and sustaining a strong, healthy Black nursing workforce to help eliminate health and professional inequities.

Our Mission

CBBNA provides a psychologically safe space for Black nurses and nursing students. Through mentorship, professional development, and advocacy, we promote equal access to opportunities in policy, academia, research, and clinical practice, empowering both our members and the communities they serve.

Membership Details

  • Student membership fee: $50/year
    • Includes local chapter dues ($15) and national NBNA dues ($35)
  • Sponsorships available: A limited number of unlicensed student memberships are available and sponsored by current RN members. Email cbbna@chesapeakebaybna.org for more information.

Monthly Virtual Meetings

We meet monthly via Zoom, and our chapter was proudly founded in response to interest from UMSON BSNA students, so your voice truly matters here.
