UMSON has one of the largest student bodies on campus and is a student interfacing institution and during the semester it is important for faculty and staff to provide in-person support and guidance to enhance our students’ ability to have a rich and dynamic experience.
We will resume our one day of telework beginning Monday, Aug. 11. Supervisors are encouraged to continue to support telework arrangements and allow for alternative methods of communication.
During specific times of the year, we will continue to be able to take advantage of two days of telework each week. For the 2025 - 26 academic year, those times are:
- Monday, Dec. 22, 2025 - Friday, Jan. 16, 2026
- Monday, March 16, 2026 - Friday, March 20, 2026
- Monday, May 25, 2026 - Friday, Aug. 7, 2026
During these periods, the two telework days can be taken consecutively, and supervisors will need to balance telework requests to ensure that the units/departments have appropriate onsite coverage on any given day.
Additionally, as reminders, we continue to support and encourage meeting-free Wednesdays for units in the School and our meeting-free weeks; the next meeting-free week is scheduled for Aug. 4 - 8, 2025.
