The School of Social Work is excited to announce that the 2025 J.E.D.I. Awards nomination form is now open!
The JEDI Awards honor those committed to a JUST society while inspiring EMPOWERMENT within their communities. These awards recognize those who demonstrate DETERMINATION while advocating for marginalized voices and advocating for fairness. Like a true jedi, these individuals use their unique strengths and extraordinary abilities to create lasting IMPACT.
We strongly encourage you to submit nominations for an individual, group, or organization. Self-Nominations are also accepted. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we acknowledge and celebrate these efforts!
The nomination period will be from Tuesday, Jan. 21, to Friday, Feb. 14.
People are invited to submit nominations for the following awards:
- Camara Jones Faculty Award
- Judith Heumann Staff Award
- Audre Lorde Student Award
- Whitney Young Alumni Award
- Kimberle Crenshaw Group Award
- Shirley Chisholm Community Award for Individuals
- Reginald F. Lewis Community Award for Organizations and Businesses
