We are excited to announce the Reentry Resource & Career Fair, hosted by The Flowers Whiting Initiative in partnership with No Boundaries Coalition. This event will take place on Saturday, April 23rd, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at New Song Academy, located at 1530 Presstman St, Baltimore, MD 21217.
The Reentry Resource & Career Fair is dedicated to helping individuals transitioning from the criminal justice system and those impacted by mass incarceration. The event provides an opportunity for attendees to connect with a variety of service providers and gain access to essential resources that support successful reintegration.
What to Expect:
- Legal Resources & Expungement: Free consultations to help individuals understand their legal rights and expungement options.
- FREE Professional Clothing: Donation-based distribution of professional attire to help with job interviews and employment.
- Voter Education & Registration: Information on voting rights and assistance with voter registration.
- Transitional Housing: Resources and support for individuals seeking stable housing post-release.
- Employment Opportunities: Job placements, vocational training, and connections with employers willing to hire returning citizens.
- Education Resources: Information on GED programs, higher education options, and skills training.
- Mental Health Resources: Support services for addressing the emotional challenges of reintegration.
In addition to these valuable resources, the event will feature a live DJ providing music and a funnel cake vendor to create a fun and inviting atmosphere.
We expect 120 attendees, including returning citizens, their families, youth, and community members, along with local service providers and event partners. This fair is an opportunity for everyone to come together and make meaningful connections while addressing the challenges of reentry.
We are also seeking vendors, employers, and resource providers to support returning citizens and their families by offering essential career opportunities, legal services, housing resources, and social support to help with successful reintegration.
