The UMB Community Engagement Center (CEC) invites you to a powerful evening of opportunity and transformation at the Turnaround Tuesday Information Session. This event is designed to connect West Baltimore neighbors with one of the CEC’s most dedicated workforce partners — Turnaround Tuesday.
What is Turnaround Tuesday?
Turnaround Tuesday is more than a job readiness program — it’s a movement. Led by BUILD (Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development), Turnaround Tuesday has helped over 1,800 Baltimore residents overcome barriers to employment and secure meaningful, living-wage jobs. Its approach is holistic, offering not only résumé-building and interview prep, but also therapeutic support that helps participants rediscover their self-worth and push past societal limitations.
Why This Matters
Turnaround Tuesday is eager to work with our neighbors and is a regular presence at the CEC. Its team is deeply committed to helping individuals who have been counted out by society find a path to success through partnerships with major employers like Johns Hopkins Medicine and the University of Maryland Medical System.
