Save the Date: Fourth Annual IPACE Symposium on March 24
February 11, 2026
The Interprofessional Program for Academic and Community Engagement (IPACE) is proud to announce the fourth annual 2026 IPACE Symposium, a signature event celebrating the University’s deep commitment to community partnerships, engaged scholarship, and furthering the conversations rooted in community engagement. The symposium will feature interactive presentations from campus and community collaborators and opportunities to explore new models of interprofessional engagement.
This year’s symposium arrives at a particularly meaningful moment for UMB. The University has recently earned the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, a prestigious national designation recognizing institutions that demonstrate excellence in collaboration, reciprocity, and long‑term impact with the communities they serve. The 2026 IPACE Symposium will build on this achievement by bringing together faculty, students, staff, and community partners to highlight innovative projects, share best practices, and strengthen the collective work that advances health, equity, and social justice across Baltimore and beyond. There will also be an award ceremony for Outstanding Achievement in Academic Community Engagement by a faculty, staff, student, and community member.
The event will be held on Tuesday, March 24, in the Southern Management Corporation Campus Center ballrooms from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided as well.
We look forward to celebrating this milestone year with our campus and community partners.
