The American Constitution Society (ACS) Voting Rights Conference, hosted by the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, aims to confront the serious threats faced in protecting fair and free elections right now.
The conference intends to take on the subject in different ways with panelists and speakers discussing topics like current issues faced in voting rights, multimember districts in Maryland and nationally, and opportunities for involvement and engagement that law students and others can take on now. Ending in a tabling session, the conference will act as a springboard into hands-on involvement in voting rights work for law students.
