May 11: Values in Action Speaker Series: Innovation and Discovery
May 05, 2026
Join us for the next Values in Action Speaker Series installment focused on UMB’s core value set of Innovation and Discovery.
UMB’s Core Values Program and the School of Graduate Studies’ Office of Values and Strategic Initiatives are excited to present Sol Roberts-Lieb, EdD, director of the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning and assistant professor of Health Professions Education within the School of Graduate Studies, as he leads an inspiring conversation allowing for the exchange of ideas and critical reflection with colleagues across our community focused on how together, we can innovate and make discoveries within the higher education community.
We are excited to also feature Erica C. Leyder, a PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Life Sciences Molecular Microbiology and Immunology Program, as our student speaker to kick off this event. Leyder brings a multidisciplinary background spanning immunology, virology, neuroscience, and biotechnology driven by a central question: “How can we better prepare for, and outsmart, emerging viral threats?”
This hybrid program will be offered in person at the MLK4 Building (4 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) and on Zoom (link provided with registration) on Monday May 11 from 12-1 p.m.
Please register for the event.
