The Entrepreneurship and Science Communication for Aging Research (ESCAAR) program at the University of Maryland School of Graduate Studies is your chance to do just that!
This program, funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), combines in-person sessions in Baltimore with flexible online learning in a 10-month hybrid experience (July 2026-April 2027).
You’ll gain practical skills in science communication, entrepreneurship, and translational thinking — tools that can transform your career.

As an ESCAAR fellow, you will engage in applied learning experiences focused on science communication, stakeholder engagement, innovation, and age-inclusive discourses, complementing traditional research training supported by mentors and PIs.
