Maureen Kane Headshot

Please join the UMB Institute for Clinical & Translational Research (ICTR) in welcoming Maureen Kane, PhD, who will present on “Mass Spectrometry Center: Empowering Drug Discovery and Development.”

Discussion synopsis: The Mass Spectrometry Center is an Organized Research Center with an emphasis on collaborative research and the acceleration of drug discovery and development by providing investigators, on campus and beyond, access to cutting-edge technologies in mass spectrometry. The Mass Spectrometry Center provides state-of-the-art analysis in various advanced protein analysis techniques including comparative proteomic expression analysis, post-translational modification analysis, protein interaction (interactome) analysis as well as a number of other custom proteomic analysis capabilities. The Mass Spectrometry Center also provides a host of other mass spectrometry-based techniques including quantitative LC-MS/MS, targeted metabolomics, lipidomics, and mass spectrometry imaging. This seminar will discuss key capabilities and also include how investigators can access the Mass Spectrometry Center resources through the ICTR Drug Discovery and Development Core to accelerate bringing new therapeutics out of the laboratory and into the clinic.

Tuesday, April 14, noon-1 p.m.
