Nicole Huberfeld

The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law's Law & Health Care Program invites you to attend the 2026 Stuart Rome Lecture, which was established at the law school in January 1984 to honor the memory of Stuart Rome, a prominent health law attorney, community activist, and art patron in the Baltimore area. The program is especially grateful for the longstanding support of Paula Rome, who recently passed away, and for her commitment to honoring her late husband’s legacy.

We will be welcoming Nicole Huberfeld, JD, Edward R. Utley Professor of Health Law, with a joint appointment at Boston University (BU) School of Law and BU School of Public Health.  Huberfeld's lecture will be titled “The Disunited States of Health."

Please register to join us at 4:15 p.m. April 16 in the law school's Ceremonial Courtroom, with a reception to follow.

If you prefer to attend virtually, you can register for the event using the same link. A Zoom link will be sent to you in a separate email 48 hours before the event begins.
