Westminster Preservation Trust, Inc. is the proud sponsor of "Lunch Under the Pipes," a free lunchtime concert series featuring Westminster Hall's beautifully restored 1882 Johnson Pipe organ. The concert series is open to University of Maryland, Baltimore faculty, staff, and students and the surrounding community. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch; seating is provided.

At noon Thursday, April 9, we welcome Russel Paul, Alice Real, and Abbie Wood from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University, all students of Daniel Aune, DMA, MM, coordinator of organ studies.

Russel Paul

Paul is pursuing a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance at the Peabody Institute, joining Aune's organ studio in fall 2025. He began his private organ studies with Nerva Altino, MM, before attending Queens College — CUNY, where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance, magna cum laude, studying with Masayuki Maki, PhD.

Alice Real

A Master of Music candidate in Organ Performance in Aune's studio at the Peabody Institute and a native of Northern Virginia, Real serves as organist and director of handbells and youth at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Springfield, Va. She was a general music and choral specialist with Fairfax County Public Schools for 13 years.

Abbie Wood

Wood is a master student candidate of organ performance at the Peabody Institute, where she studies with Aune and is a teaching assistant for Ear Training. She recently graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University, obtaining a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance studying with Anne Laver, DMA, MM, as well as a minor in Jazz Studies. She is currently employed as organ scholar for Church of the Redeemer in Baltimore and was previously organist at University United Methodist Church in Syracuse, N.Y.
