The Office of Strategic Engagement and Impact invites UMSON's faculty and staff to a special professional development opportunity.

Facilitated by Sam Anderson, chair of the Difficult Dialogues National Resource Center and assistant director of student leadership and engagement in the University of Maryland, Baltimore's Office of Student Affairs, this interactive session explores dialogue as a distinct pedagogical approach and way of being that fosters curiosity and perspective taking and enables constructive engagement across differences.

Participants will discover how dialogic practices can help navigate challenging topics, build psychological safety, and strengthen relationships with colleagues and students. As we prepare for the fall semester, this timely session will provide practical tools and skills to help participants engage in intentional dialogue with students and colleagues.

Students, faculty, and staff, let your voice be heard!
