The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is proud to recognize 15 outstanding students who have been selected to participate in the UMSON Nursing Policy Academy.

Selection into the Nursing Policy Academy was highly competitive, with 45 applications from BSN and MSN-E programs, and reflects each student’s demonstrated commitment to leadership, advocacy, and advancing health policy to improve outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. Through this academy, students will gain hands-on exposure to the policy-making process, engage with nurse leaders and policymakers, and strengthen the skills needed to influence health policy at the local, state, and national levels.
