The Engagement Scholarship Consortium invites University of Maryland, Baltimore faculty, staff, and students to submit proposals for its 2026 annual conference, Changing Lives and Improving Society: Data-Driven Engagement and Innovation.
The conference will be held Oct. 7-8 in Knoxville, Tenn., and is intended to provide opportunities to learn about ways to bring academic expertise and community wisdom together to improve local conditions. Successful proposals will explore how engaged scholarship transforms communities, drives innovation, and builds lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships to tackle society's grand challenges through deep, pervasive, and integrated initiatives with local, regional, national, and global communities.
