March 24: Fourth Annual IPACE Symposium
March 11, 2026
Register for the Fourth Annual IPACE Symposium
“Best Practices in Community Engagement”
The fourth annual Interprofessional Program for Academic Community Engagement (IPACE) Symposium will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 24 in the Elm Ballrooms, Southern Management Corporation Campus Center. Lunch will be provided.
This year’s symposium arrives at a particularly meaningful moment for the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB.) The University has recently earned the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, a prestigious national designation recognizing institutions that demonstrate excellence in collaboration, reciprocity, and long‑term impact with the communities they serve. The 2026 IPACE Symposium will build on this achievement by bringing together faculty, students, staff, and community partners to highlight innovative projects, share best practices, and strengthen the collective work that advances health, equity, and social justice across Baltimore and beyond. There will also be an award ceremony for Outstanding Achievement in Academic Community Engagement by a faculty, staff, student, and community member.
